To the one I love

I made this card for Valentines day.

I embossed the light pink core-dinations paper with a cuttelbug embossing folder and sanded it back to reveal the core.

Close up of Cupid

I cut the wings off the original stamp image and put on some fabric embellishment wings I had in my stash. I coloured him in with copics and added stickles glitter to the hearts.

Contemplating Cupid

I somehow found the time to create this cute cupid valentine card.

I embossed the white wash core-dinations cream circle with a heart cuttlebug embossing folder and sanded it back to reveal the core.
I coloured the white paper lace doylie with candy apple glimmer mist.

Close up of cupid

I stamped and embossed this image in gold and carefully coloured in with copics carefully avoiding the edges. I also added some stickles on his wings.

Here is the closeup of the flower

I coloured the edges of this gardenia and leaves (which were white) with gold ink and gold stickles.
I also used one of my favourite trinket pins that I make and sell.

I followed the below sketch from sweet sketch wednesday challenge

Here is the recipe:
Stamp: V-0002 Cupid from hookedoncraft
Papers: from my stash and paper lace doylie from hookedoncraft
Ribbon: Bud and bow ribbon from hookedoncraft

Decorative Trinket Pins

I finally got around to making some gorgeous decorative Trinket pins that I have had on the go for a while now. They are heavy duty pins measuring 2" (5cm) long.
They can be used to decorate your pin cushion, scrapbooking, cards or just about anything you want to dress up!
You can also use them as lapel pins for your wedding flowers to add that extra sparkle!

They seem to be all the rage right now and I just had to make some special exclusive ones.
They can be purchased in my etsy shop which can be found HERE.

And later this week they will be available to be purchased from Hookedoncraft

Here is a sneak preview of what I have created with more designs on their way.

Birthday card for Carol

I made this card for my Sister in Law who has just turned 40.
It took a while and with the humidty we have been having lately I found it hard as the paper kept curling.
I made this easel card by using my cricut to cut out the background behind the puppy and stuck this to jac paper which I then peeled off and added glitter. I also coloured the lace using glimmer mists and inked the edges of the paper layers with distress inks. The stamp is from  the Dogs range at hookedoncraft and the image I used was called D-0009 Cute Puppy large. The butterfly was punched out using a Martha stewart butterfly punch and also added to jac paper which was also glittered.

The 40 is actually chipboard numbers which I painted in gold ink and used gold micro beads to enhance it. I have also used these in the centre of the flower the puppy is holding. The paper flowers and leaves were actually white and I coloured them with glimmer mists. The plain white flowers and leaves can be purchased here.

I also made the decorative trinket pin sticking out from the flowers.

I am entering this card into One stop craft challenges where the theme this week is numbers.

Kelly at a snails pace

Well I finally got time to have a play with the new Valentine stamps at Hookedoncraft
I had a lot of fun with this card and I got to use a lot of new products that have just arrived at Hooked on crafts as well.
I distressed the edges of the paper and inked them as well to make it pop. I coloured this cute little snail image with copic markers and this stamp is from the Valentine range at hookedoncraft called V-0011 Love Bugs. The sentiment is from the words & phrases range at Hookedoncraft called W-0003 love.
I used some rose pink mesh ribbon from hookedoncraft and can be found here
The paper lace doylie can also be found at hookedoncraft here and i also spritzed it with glimmer mist to add some colour and sparkle.

Here is a close up of the butterfly which was white and then I spritzed it with 2 different glimmer mists and added some bling and stickles to the edges. You can purchase these here

And here is a close up of the awesome flowers at hookedoncraft which can be found here

I added some stickles to the edges of the flowers and a decorative trinket pin that I made. Keep an eye out for future blog posts as i will let you know where you can buy these very pretty pins for your own crafts.
