I coloured in the stamp image using copic markers and used Micro beads on the cherry and stickles glue on the icing of the cupcake.

I made the cupcake pin from airdry clay and coloured it with copic markers and stickles for the sprinkles. I added some mulberry paper rosebuds, leaves and bound it together with green floral tape and added a ribbon bow.

I followed the below sketch

A Birthday card for Ros

I made this side step card for a dear friend of mine who has turned 40. Although she didn't want to be reminded of it i just had to use the big 40 on the card. I am really happy with the way it turned out and it reminded her of herself when she was little.

I cut the numbers on  my cricut and embossed them with a cuttlebug folder that I also sanded back to reveal the core. I used copic markers to colour in the image.

Here is the recipe:

Stamp used: Gorjuss girls
Sentiment: Bizzy becs digi freebies
Papers & Leaf ribbon: From my stash
Punch: Martha Stewart
Butterfly & flowers: Hookedoncraft

Decorative Trinket Pins

I finally got around to making some gorgeous decorative Trinket pins that I have had on the go for a while now. They are heavy duty pins measuring 2" (5cm) long.
They can be used to decorate your pin cushion, scrapbooking, cards or just about anything you want to dress up!
You can also use them as lapel pins for your wedding flowers to add that extra sparkle!

They seem to be all the rage right now and I just had to make some special exclusive ones.
They can be purchased in my etsy shop which can be found HERE.

And later this week they will be available to be purchased from Hookedoncraft

Here is a sneak preview of what I have created with more designs on their way.

Birthday card for Carol

I made this card for my Sister in Law who has just turned 40.
It took a while and with the humidty we have been having lately I found it hard as the paper kept curling.
I made this easel card by using my cricut to cut out the background behind the puppy and stuck this to jac paper which I then peeled off and added glitter. I also coloured the lace using glimmer mists and inked the edges of the paper layers with distress inks. The stamp is from  the Dogs range at hookedoncraft and the image I used was called D-0009 Cute Puppy large. The butterfly was punched out using a Martha stewart butterfly punch and also added to jac paper which was also glittered.

The 40 is actually chipboard numbers which I painted in gold ink and used gold micro beads to enhance it. I have also used these in the centre of the flower the puppy is holding. The paper flowers and leaves were actually white and I coloured them with glimmer mists. The plain white flowers and leaves can be purchased here.

I also made the decorative trinket pin sticking out from the flowers.

I am entering this card into One stop craft challenges where the theme this week is numbers.

Kelly at a snails pace

Well I finally got time to have a play with the new Valentine stamps at Hookedoncraft
I had a lot of fun with this card and I got to use a lot of new products that have just arrived at Hooked on crafts as well.
I distressed the edges of the paper and inked them as well to make it pop. I coloured this cute little snail image with copic markers and this stamp is from the Valentine range at hookedoncraft called V-0011 Love Bugs. The sentiment is from the words & phrases range at Hookedoncraft called W-0003 love.
I used some rose pink mesh ribbon from hookedoncraft and can be found here
The paper lace doylie can also be found at hookedoncraft here and i also spritzed it with glimmer mist to add some colour and sparkle.

Here is a close up of the butterfly which was white and then I spritzed it with 2 different glimmer mists and added some bling and stickles to the edges. You can purchase these here

And here is a close up of the awesome flowers at hookedoncraft which can be found here

I added some stickles to the edges of the flowers and a decorative trinket pin that I made. Keep an eye out for future blog posts as i will let you know where you can buy these very pretty pins for your own crafts.
